Moving On!
This will be my last entry for awhile. The next couple of weeks are hectic and I am positive we will be eating out. Thank you for reading!

a menu for the day and "gasp" a restaurant review
b - french toast
l - Mexican rice soup (yes, leftover's from Avila's and yes, Avila's is a mexican RESTAURANT)
d- fish tacos

Yes, this is a real photograph of the soup from Avila's. It's a lightly spicy broth, rice, good sized pieces of boneless chicken breast and big pieces of fresh avocado. Try them on Monday when the soup is 6.95. Don't order anything else - it's a meal. Or in my case, two meals.

It's the weekend!

L/D - baked chicken breast, salad and baked potatoes.
Dessert - Still deciding if I should head to Pinkberry.
Stayed home- we have rain again. And I'm tired from moving furniture. I want ice cream delived.

Chicken Balls
b - split an English muffin, a blood orange and chocolate milk with the girl.
l - I'll explain below...turkey, square salami, Munster, plain bread sandwich
s- half a granola bar, oranges
d - grilled fish (if it stops raining long enough), roasted potatoes, green salad
There is this independent grocery store that specialized in Polish, Russian, Middle Eastern, and South America products. When avocados are 1.29 each, at this market, they are .60 and fresher. Deli meats are 5.00 a lb and the regular store is 8.99 a pound. Of course, I can't shop there without picking up "interesting" products. So my purchases were Russian square salami, some type of bread that is like a white fluffy soft pita called "plain bread", a package of mini Chicken Kiev that reads under the brand name "Chicken Balls", and some Brazilian ice cream that is rum raisin and chocolate. I spent under $30 and had six giant bags of groceries.

Isn't eating monotonous?
b - cracked wheat sourdough with jam
l - leftover soup
s - one of those good humor ice cream cones
d - burgers, potato salad, green beans
Last month, I saved over $100, and was able to donate by purchasing items for a silent auction charity event. I could have saved more, but I had a rocky end of the month from the holidays.

menu of the day
b - pb and j on half an English muffin
l - leftover Chinese noodles, mini apples, a brownie, almonds
s - kashi bar
d- Chicken Tortilla soup with sourdough toast or burgers and salad. Keeping my options open...
Final decision - tortilla soup! If you want to try it, 2 boxes of chicken broth, 1 can of corn, several tablespoons of fresh salsa (my little store makes it there - perfect every time!), a can of chicken (yeah, yeah), and random items...I added chopped napa cabbage, green onions, and broken bits of angel hair pasta, cook until heated through and the pasta is done. Squeeze fresh lemon over it, some cilantro, fresh chilies and broken tortilla chips and dinner is served. No need for the sourdough toast.
