A Month of Dining In: February 2008

Free at Last!

A daily diary of how we are going "'restaurant free" for 30 days. I'm excluding one business lunch a week from the challenge - cuz that's business and I'm not really wanting to bag a lunch for more dining companions than me (and the kids).

I love restaurants - not that fast food - but full service. I like someone to refill my water glass and to ask for lemon and have it magically appear. I don't have to defrost a pound of beef and think...What next? And candles, I love candles and music and taking time to eat knowing I don't have to clean the kitchen. Magic fairy hands do that at restaurants.

However, eating out is causing a serious rift in my budget. And to be honest, I'd like to give more to charity. I think right now I am lacking balance on spending for me and the kids and spending for others. Welcome to the challenge!
